Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, but it wasn't without its downsides. The room was lovely, especially with views of the cherry blossoms, and the breakfast offered a lot of tasty choices. However, I was really disappointed by the lack of a proper spa area, and the shared facilities felt a bit distant. Overall, a solid experience but could use some improvements.
I had a lovely stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, enjoying the serene atmosphere and attentive service. The room was incredibly comfortable, adorned with traditional tatami mats and sliding doors. However, the location isn’t ideal for sightseeing. I had to take a taxi to nearby attractions, which added up over my three nights.
I had a pretty decent stay at Takanawa Hanakohro. The Japanese Suite I booked was beautiful, but the lack of a dedicated spa area for the ryokan part was a bummer. However, the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices, and the location near Shinagawa Station made it easy to explore nearby districts. Overall, it was nice but not without flaws.
I had a lovely stay at Takanawa Hanakohro. The Japanese-style room was spacious, clean, and had a amazing view of the central garden adorned with cherry blossoms. The location, while a bit far from Shinagawa Station and requiring an uphill walk, was perfect for exploring multiple districts. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, but the walk could be a drawback if you have large luggage or mobility issues.
During my stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, I experienced a blend of intimate luxury and traditional Japanese hospitality. The stunning room with tatami floor was super comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. However, I found the dining options a bit limited, and the location was a bit of a trek if you wanted to explore without a taxi, which could add up in cost.
