I had a pleasant stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, but it wasn't without its downsides. The room was lovely, especially with views of the cherry blossoms, and the breakfast offered a lot of tasty choices. However, I was really disappointed by the lack of a proper spa area, and the shared facilities felt a bit distant. Overall, a solid experience but could use some improvements.

My room was spacious, with a large bathroom and beautiful views of the central garden area filled with cherry blossoms. I loved the Japanese yukata and enjoyed the nice amenities like tea and snacks.

The service was friendly and attentive, especially Maki-san from the club staff who made me feel exceptionally welcomed. She even helped me find info about some candy in the room, which was a sweet touch.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring various districts in Tokyo. I appreciated that it was close to a large train station, making it easy to venture around the city.

Breakfast was enjoyable with a variety of options, including some delicious Western-style dishes like buttermilk biscuits. The different dining sections were nice to explore during my stay.

I found the facilities a bit lacking, especially the absence of a dedicated pool and spa area for the ryokan part, which I expected given the price. Walking far for shared amenities was not ideal.

I had a lovely stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, enjoying the serene atmosphere and attentive service. The room was incredibly comfortable, adorned with traditional tatami mats and sliding doors. However, the location isn’t ideal for sightseeing. I had to take a taxi to nearby attractions, which added up over my three nights.

While the hotel is close to Shinagawa station, which is great for the Shinkansen, the immediate area didn’t offer much in terms of sightseeing. I often took taxis to see the attractions I wanted.

I had a pretty decent stay at Takanawa Hanakohro. The Japanese Suite I booked was beautiful, but the lack of a dedicated spa area for the ryokan part was a bummer. However, the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices, and the location near Shinagawa Station made it easy to explore nearby districts. Overall, it was nice but not without flaws.

The Japanese Suite was really comfortable and beautifully designed. I loved the mini snacks, tea, and decent yukata. However, I wished there were more luxurious touches considering the price.

The location was okay for train access, but the immediate area could be tricky for seniors since it's kinda steep and not many dining options nearby.

Breakfast was great, offering a Western buffet with lots of delicious choices. I just would've loved to see some natto on the menu.

Unfortunately, the spa facilities were a letdown. There was no pool, just a whirlpool, which was not what I expected from a high-end hotel. The gym was a bit far too.

I had a lovely stay at Takanawa Hanakohro. The Japanese-style room was spacious, clean, and had a amazing view of the central garden adorned with cherry blossoms. The location, while a bit far from Shinagawa Station and requiring an uphill walk, was perfect for exploring multiple districts. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, but the walk could be a drawback if you have large luggage or mobility issues.

During my stay at Takanawa Hanakohro, I experienced a blend of intimate luxury and traditional Japanese hospitality. The stunning room with tatami floor was super comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. However, I found the dining options a bit limited, and the location was a bit of a trek if you wanted to explore without a taxi, which could add up in cost.

While the hotel is situated near Shinagawa station, I found that the immediate area didn’t offer much in terms of activities. The walk back from the station uphill could be a bit slippery in the rain, so just be cautious.
